Aspendos is an ancient city located near the Serik district of Antalya, Turkey, and is particularly famous for its well-preserved Roman theater. Aspendos, thought to have been founded by the Achaeans in the 10th century BC, was considered one of the most important cities in the Pamphylia region in ancient times.

The Aspendos Theater was built in the 2nd century AD during the reign of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius and is one of the largest theaters in the ancient world, with a capacity of 15,000 spectators.
